MonoPager is an easy-to-use templated control, which provides universal paging functionality for any kind of control with bindable data source. MonoSoftware.Web.Pager is an easy-to-use templated control, which provides universal paging functionality for any kind of control with bindable data source. You name it, MonoSoftware.Web.Pager will page it!- You can easily design your own rich, nice-looking pager html via the PagerTemplate
- Completely handles the paging logic which leaves you to worry only about html design
- It can page Repeater, DataList, DataGrid and any control with bindable DataSource property.
- It can page any DataSource which implements IEnumerable including DataTable, and even DataReader (which normally doesn't work with DataGrid default paging)
- And the best of all - IT REQUIRES ABSOLUTELY NO CODE-BEHIND (you can set all the necessary properties through the IDE designer or via the control tag in the .aspx or the .ascx)When you do your normal binding of, let's say for example, a DataList, you can page it by setting the PagedControl property of the MonoSoftware.Web.Pager. The pager control will then hook up to a DataList's binding process, examine its DataSource, disect it into pages and replace it with an own DataSource which will show up only the current page. Furthermore, the pager control contains many properties which can help you to design a rich paging template. If you ever tried to override the DataGrid's default pager and replace it with a different design, you know how pesky that task was, with numerous code-behind lines. With the MonoSoftware.Web.Pager control, you design your html directly in the .aspx or .ascx. The paging process is controled with the page selection elements you'll add beside the visual-only elements. A page selection element can be any control which implements the System.Web.UI.IPostBackEventHandler (i.e. performs postback) and possesses the Command event. Currently those are System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button, System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton and System.Web.UI.WebControls.ImageButton, but can be any custom control which satisfies these conditions. You control the type of command with the CommandName property on each of your page selection elements(buttons). Numeric group functionality is similar to the DataGrid's numeric paging functionality. Also, DataGrid forces you to manually handle the actual change of the page index and rebinding. In the MonoSoftware.Web.Pager control, the PageIndexChanged event is raised when one of the page selection elements, which represents a page index different from the current one, is clicked. But, there is the AutoPaging property, which is set to true by default. It releaves you from writing a handler for the PageIndexChanged event, except if you want to perform some custom actions. So, you don't have to handle anything, once you have properly setup the pager template.
MonoPager is a ASP.NET script for Miscellaneous scripts design by Mono Ltd.. It runs on following operating system: Windows.
